Characteristics

Zirconium Oxychloride is a strongly acidic, slightly yellow, clear aqueous solution. Naturally occurring temperature extremes have little or no effect on this product. Any precipitate that might form due to exposure to extreme cold will in most cases readily re-dissolve with agitation

Typical Application

Crosslinking agent, for altering the rheological properties of natural and synthetic organic polymers
Zirconium source for coating titanium dioxide particles, to reduce yellowing effects from UV light exposure
Precursor material in the preparation of certain proprietary antiperspirant salts
One component used in flame-resistant treatment of wool, and other keratinous fibres
As an acid catalyst in resin and silicone finishing of cotton and cotton mixture textiles
Zirconium source for speciality pigments
Catalyst binders
Precursor material for manufacturing other zirconium chemicals
