Current UK vacancies

From engineering to manufacturing to operations, Luxfer MEL Technologies is looking for world-class talent ready to tackle challenging projects and bring on creativity. If you are ready for spontaneous ideas, prompt brainstorming and the contagious excitement we bring to work each day, find a role here.

Apprenticeships

We offer a number of student placements, apprenticeship and graduate roles across the business, which lead on to a long and rewarding career here at Luxfer MEL Technologies.

I was looking for an Apprenticeship that would give me some practical experience alongside my degree. As part of my role, I am studying Materials Engineering at Sheffield Hallam University and I think that the course really compliments the work that I do. I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of different projects and tasks. I would like to further my education and continue to work within the Technical Department on new product development. The best part of working at Luxfer is the culture. Everyone is very friendly and always willing to help. There is a great variety of work and no one day is the same.

Research and Development

One of the many things that attracted me to work here was to be part of a business that produces world-class innovative material technology that makes a real difference. Our products and markets are so diverse; every day is a different and interesting challenge. I have been lucky enough to be involved in projects for formula one cars, jet fighters and supercars during my career here!

Sector Manager
Wrought Magnesium

I completed a Year In Industry placement in 2009 and was lucky enough to be taken on full time after graduating. Since then, I have worked with a series of different processes and technologies to generate a wide range of products. The most rewarding part of my role is having the opportunity to speak to technical people in Europe, USA or Asia and discuss how best our products can work in their applications.
