Key features

Zirconia has excellent surface wettability, which is important in electrochemical reactions, such as the production of green hydrogen in alkaline water electrolysis. Our products allow for good surface contact with the electrolyte.

In solid oxide fuel cell applications materials are exposed to high temperatures, typically reaching 500°C to 1000°C. Yttria-stabilised zirconia provides excellent thermal resistance and physical stability.

Conditions of most alkaline electrolysers are hostile, typically operating under a solution of potassium or sodium hydroxide. ZrO2 has excellent performance in these conditions and increase the lifetime of electrolyte cells.

When mixed with rare earth oxides, our range of products allow for good surface contact with the electrolyte, allowing for oxygen permeability within the finished ceramics.

In our product development and manufacturing, impurities are highly controlled for iron content and other unwanted elements and compounds that could be harmful for your application.
