Elektron® PTFE Powder is used frequently in defense applications requiring a high-energy fluorinated oxidizer. Often combined with our ultra-fine magnesium powders to produce controlled burn rates and improve stability, Elektron® PTFE Powder is the material of choice for critical pyrotechnics applications within the defense sector.

Elektron® PTFE Powder is processed from 100% virgin material conforming to ASTM D4894-19. Type I Grade 1 (except Bulk Density and Particle Size)

Non-rounded (Irregular)

  • Powder can be produced with an average particle
    size from 450 to 800 μm
  • Custom size distributions available
  • D50 can be controlled within ± 25 μm
